Kelly McDonough has delivered a refreshing, fun romance. Love’s Magic Spell is filled with humorous and heartfelt moments. The author has kept things simple in this book. The focus remains on Lisa and Josh and the feelings that are growing between them. The author strikes a chord with readers as she displays the progression of Lisa and Josh’s romance. For all their strengths and abilities, when it comes to love these two have their doubts. It is nice to see that even with magic, these two must get to know each other before they have a chance at a real future. There are some moments when readers will want to push the characters along towards love a little faster, but the added levity and insight from Lucienda fills the gaps when the plot slows. Love’s Magic Spell is a romantic read that lets passion take a backseat to love and highlights two characters that are fated to be together.
