Going to the Brotherhood for help goes against everything Denice Geron believes in, but she needed help. She meets Sean, who is going to help her bring down the la societe that has killed her brother Michel. She’s not sure that Sean is powerful enough to get the job done, nor that what she feels for him is true. Could he have bewitched her into loving him?

Revelin Scott has a part to play, so he becomes Sean, a rogue vampire, to infiltrate this illegal society. He doesn’t want Deni’s help, she’s a mortal and will only get in his way. Revelin will just have to make her understand she is there to take orders from him and give all the information she has on this la societe in Baton Rouge. If only he could keep telling himself that, maybe things will go without a hitch and he can go back home when the job is over.

With this fourth book in Ms. Roycraft’s Image Series, she’s given us a new l’enforcier to love. Her secondary characters are just as thrilling and bring a well-rounded feeling to the story. The journey of Deni and Revelin is filled with twists and turns to keep the imagination enthralled to the very end. These books can be read alone, but I recommend reading them in order, to get the true sense of the Brotherhood Society. I’ve enjoyed reading Ms. Roycraft’s series and look forward to reading more of her work. I only hope that there are more in this series.
