Nita Ramirez Gonzalez has loved Calder Calverton since she was a teen-ager, problem is, he thinks of her as a sister. She has to find a way to get him to notice her, and with him having another broken engagement, just maybe now is the time. Nita's fantasies were getting more vivid and they were all about Call, except lately she's been seeing him with blue eyes instead of brown. She told Angela about the Ramirez Woman's curse - that no Calverton male would ever have a successful marriage, because Nita's ancestress had become pregnant and then was left by Call's ancestor. While they were in the caves at Mourner's Mountain, she can see and feel things are happening with her and Call.

Call had stopped thinking of Nita as Diego's little sister when he'd come back from college and seen that she'd grown up into a beauty. From that time on he'd done everything in his power to forget her, even getting married, which hadn't worked out. Being in the caves with her, he tells her of the things he's done with her, even though they'd never been together before. Call knew that his ancestor, Billy Calverton, would never have left his woman, Magdalena Ramirez, unless he'd been killed. Call knows that he and Nita are feeling Billy and Magdalena and what happened those long years ago.

This is a story that will have readers rooting for two couples to find the happiness that they deserve. The characters and scenes are well thought out and described so perfectly, you can feel it when Call has a panic attack, the coolness of the caves and the love they share. This story will immerse you within the pages from the first word, I couldn't put it down, nor did I want to. Call is beyond HOT, he is scorching to say the least, don't forget to get the ice cubes ready. I'll be re-reading this one again and again.
