One Bachelor To Go
I thought, at first, that this novel would annoy me. The meddling, I’ll-do-anything to stay out of what daddy wants routine, does nothing for me; however, I was very pleasantly surprised to be sucked right into Nicole Burnham’s witty tale of who can out-think who in a game for the highest stakes in the biz…love. There were several places I laughed right aloud while reading this novel. If you are looking for a fast read that sucks you in and makes you smile when you are done, this is for you.
Emily Winters has done the nearly impossible; she has married off almost all the bachelors at her father’s company. Her daddy’s dream is for her to marry someone in the company…keep it in the family. So she and a friend have used, illegally, the personnel files and matched up the bachelors with suitable dates. And it’s worked. Until now. Now there is one bachelor left. The enigma of the company, Jack Devon. He’s gorgeous, he’s quiet, and surprisingly he keeps mostly to himself. He doesn’t even express interest in her, which is odd. She is the founder’s daughter. She’s attractive. Most men like her, they definitely all want her. And yet, he had the nerve to tell her father she’s spoiled!
Her father sets them up, where they are trapped at a ski lodge and though it’s cold outside, it’s anything but indoors. The sparks fly as fast and furious as the clothes is this cute story of true love. Check it out.
