Hawk’s Rayne

A carefree pact between four friends during happy hour sets the tone for the most exciting time of modern and independent New Yorker Rayne Amitola’s life. Rayne is a successful single woman. She believes her life is perfect the way it is. Despite her mother’s not-so-subtle hints that she should marry and become a loving wife and mother, Rayne is content. That is, until she runs into Flint Kestrel. Literally. During her morning run she slams face first into a rock solid chest, and then is ensnared by the man’s dark eyes.

Flint is one of the ancients. Immortal. He has found the woman he has searched decades for. Now he has to convince her that he is her one true mate. Together they are fated for a destiny with far reaching capabilities.

Ms. Covey’s Hawk’s Rayne is a fun and sexy paranormal romance. Rayne is an ultra modern woman who knows her place in the world. Watching Flint trying to adapt to her modern ways is a treat. Flint is a sexy, strong man who has waited a long time for Rayne. Hawk’s Rayne is laugh out loud funny. One of my favorite scenes is when Rayne gets together with her girlfriends for a ‘girls night out.’ Her mental mutterings concerning her mother are too true. With the promise of being the first in a series, Hawk’s Rayne is touching and funny by turns. This book is a keeper. Be sure to keep an eye out for more immortal magic from Ms. Covey.
