Silk Confessions

Detective Wes Shaw is thrilled to feel the buzz again, the “cop buzz” that is. Since his former partner’s body was found a few months ago, he’s been on automatic pilot. When he hears one of the officers taking a call regarding a breaking and entering from Ms. Tempest Boucher, owner of a company that he has been investigating, his instincts tell him that it is not mere coincidence.

Heiress to a multi-million dollar fortune, Tempest is devastated when she discovers that her private sanctuary has been violated. She feels even more violated and more than a bit invigorated when Detective Shaw takes over her home, her computer and her every waking moment. She finds it impossible to believe that one of her companies is involved in something as sordid as Wes suggests but, like him, she wants to get to the bottom of the story. Maybe then she can get to the bottom of the attraction that sizzles between them.

Joanne Rock’s Silk Confessions definitely lives up to its category as a “Blaze.” My fingers have blisters from the heat generated by Wes and Tempest. In addition to being sexy-beyond-belief, Silk Confessions has a couple of plot twists that will astound and please any reader who enjoys the unexpected in a book. Ms. Rock once again promises to deliver a series full of sassy and independent heroines and hunky alpha heroes.
