Nika Ballinger was a rich and snobby woman that nobody liked. She has also been murdered. Nika had a way of making everyone around her miserable. It seemed to be her goal in life. She thought she was an expert horsewoman, when in fact she was terrible at the sport of dressage. But that doesn't mean that she deserved to have her head bashed in. Robin Vaughan doesn't feel the police are doing enough to solve this crime, so she launches her own investigation. Robin discovers just how nasty Nika was and what lengths she would go to get what she wanted. Some skeletons lurk in some fancy closets and will be exposed before Robin gets to the bottom of the mystery of who killed Nika.

Death By Dressage is a must read for all horse and mystery lovers alike. The main heroine, Robin, is a strong if snoopy and stubborn woman who is out to solve a murder of a woman that she really doesn't care for, all in the name of justice. Written in first person point-of-view, Robin is open and honest about her own failings, including jealousy of all of Nika's fine trappings that wealth brought Nika and her delight in Nika's lack of talent in the sport they mutually love.

Author Carolyn Banks pens in complete detail the sport of dressage and all it entails, sometimes too much detail. At these times the story line drags a bit. However, this minor point doesn't distract the reader's attention for long. Death By Dressage is highly recommended. Don't miss out on Robin's adventures in this action packed, page turning tale.
