Jax is a Shadow Keeper who lives on earth. His bonded mate abandoned him, leaving him in a perpetual rut from which he can find only the most superficial relief. He's had to live with this agony for six years. Now, his friend, Malik, has asked him to look into finding out who is responsible for the death of his wife's parents. It turns out she has a sister named Lorran and to find out what happened to the parents, he'll have to track down Lorran. However, things are not what they seem to be, or are they?

Crystal Yancy is a massage therapist aboard the cruise ship Fantastique. As she's massaging six feet, four inches of rippling muscles and sinew, she begins to find herself immediately attracted to this man, then she discovers a tattoo on a buttock. The man turns out to be none other than Jax, the man she left behind.

Jax can't believe it when he runs into his bonded mate, Crystal, a Light Keeper. He should have known she was the Light Keeper responsible for hiding the Flame Princess. What he doesn't know is that Crystal has several serious secrets of her own. Now time is running out because there are others that are after the Flame Princess, individuals with an agenda of their own. Will Jax and Crystal be able to put the past behind them before the wrong people find the Flame Princess? What will Jax do when he finds out why Crystal left him?

Mystic Keepers 2: Crystal is a fast paced, sexually charged story. Crystal and Jax both displayed realistic attitudes of suffering, regret, distrust and rage. You could almost see Jax's anger on running into Crystal after six year apart and the years of wondering what had befallen her, dueling with his sexual desires and his need to snap her up into his arms. At one point, Crystal's frustration could almost be felt when Jax left her hanging. Readers will also find that Crystal has its share of humor too. There's a humorous situation that takes place when Minuette arrives at the door of her brother, Malik's house. Let's just say that I'm sure many of us can completely empathize with Minuette's circumstances and that's all I'm going to say! You'll have to read Aubrey Ross's Mystic Keepers 2: Crystal to find out the rest, while I await the third in the series, Mystic Keepers 3: Lorran.
