The Bite of Magick

She can’t help feeling that there is something wrong with her, to have been sexually involved with an abusive psycho. She doesn’t really trust her judgment when it comes to men, so when she meets Kieran McKendrick, Té is on guard. She’s never ever felt the explosive passion with any man, not even Lexi, that she feels with Kieran, but she’s still worried. She’s on the run and has no plans to stay in Scotland, but Kieran has no intent of letting her leave him. He’s finally met his soul mate, and he intends to perform the binding ceremony with her, to make sure that they can be together forever.

Kieran has never met a woman so accepting of not only his Magick side, but even his beast side, the part of himself that he’s most afraid of showing to her for fear that she will turn away from him. But in order to protect Té, he has to prove that she can trust him, and that means letting the beast go. Of course, before they can get their lives on track, if that’s in the cards for them at all, Té and Kieran have to find a way to stop Lexi.

A Bite of Magick is a stunningly erotic tale of two very strong protagonists each finding their way to each other amidst a life of twists and turns. Rhyannon Byrd has penned a very fascinating tale about a bachelor who doesn’t want to fall in love, who enjoys his playboy lifestyle, and the opinionated American who isn’t looking for a white knight but finds one when she visits Scotland in a search for sanctuary. Té isn’t a wilting violet, willing to let Kieran face all the danger alone, she’s right there at the forefront of the story, trying to protect her sister and even Kieran. Despite her brave front though, Té is scared and only Kieran, big and strong, bossy and oh so sexy, seems to have the ability to make her feel better. This is the second story in Rhyannon Byrd’s Magick Men series and it packs a wallop. You will not be able to put this story down because the characters of Té and Kieran will have you hooked from the first time you meet them. The secondary cast of McKendrick kin provides for many laughs and the hopes that their stories will soon be told. This is one book you won’t want to pass up and is sure to be destined for your keeper shelf.
