Without Shame

When Nichole Anders’s good friend Greg asks her to model for his new sculpture, Nichole can’t say no, despite her shy and reserved nature. Nichole has had a crush on Greg since the their college days and when she finds out he recently broke up with his girlfriend, she finally sees her chance to make Greg fall in love with her. But will she seize her chance or let her passive nature let him get away again?

Without Shame is a short novella that focuses on the awakening of Nichole. Though she starts out shy and ashamed of her body image, Greg’s talents as a sculptor help Nichole see herself in a new light. She is by far the star of the story, though Greg is definitely a strong character. Greg has always been aware of Nichole as a good friend, but as he sees her becoming aware of herself and her own sensuality, he starts to see her in a new light, but doesn’t want to take advantage of their situation. It is Nichole who takes control, showcasing yet again the growth of her character throughout this story. This is an enchanting read just because of the wonderful characterizations that Amanda Steiger has written.
