Abby Cooper,<br> Psychic Eye

Abby Cooper is a PI, Psychic Intuitive, who uses guides to help her to tell the future. When Abby signs up for an online dating service, Heart2Heart, she meets a man who is too good to be true. On their date she gets a little tipsy and tells him about a vision she had while getting ready for their date. She also tells him about her distrust of cops. Her fear is reinforced when Dutch shows up on her doorstep demanding to know how she ‘knew’ about his case. Abby is rightfully upset when she answers his questions and then throws him out. At the same time that she’s dealing with her relationship woes, one of Abby’s clients is murdered and Dutch comes back into her life. Now she’s a target and is trying to reconcile her feelings for Dutch while figuring out who has it in for her.

This book is very well written and the characters are so likable – even when you don’t want them to be. I loved the matter-of-fact way that Victoria Laurie dealt with psychic phenomenon as a tool for the police. I didn’t realize it until the end, but she writes from experience! If you look at the author’s blurb, it mentions that she is a police psychic and uses her experiences to write her stories. Whether you believe in clairvoyance or not, this is a great read and fun beginning to a series. 5 angels for making you doubt society’s restrictions!
