Drive Me Crazy

Duncan Forbes is hired to find a missing Van Gogh. The trail leads him to Swiftcurrent, Oregon two months too late. Mr. Franklin Forrest, the last known person to see the painting, has died and now Duncan needs to get in contact with Franklin’s two granddaughters to see if they have any information. Unfortunately, the town librarian, who Duncan has just alienated, is Franklin’s granddaughter. Misconception after misconception brings these two at odds almost the entire story. Will Duncan find the Van Gogh, or something more important?

I really got a kick out of the stereotypes that were smashed in this story. A librarian who looks like a hooker, in the author’s words, and an art professor who is too yummy for his own sake, are not the likeliest of couples. The main storyline was fabulous, as was the secondary story of Alex’s sister and her struggles with drugs and an ex-husband who just doesn’t seem right. One more great book by Nancy Warren!
