Elaine is in her compartment on the Orient Express drawing, when an amazingly gorgeous man walks in and asks, “Might I have your company for the night?” What’s a girl to say when a man asks her that? After the third encounter, Aramus finds out that Dimitri, a vampire who feeds on the souls of humans until their deaths, has summoned Elaine. In order to save her, Aramus brings her to Rafael, his sire. A fight for Elaine ensues. Who will win?

This was an amazing book! I loved the eroticism and the sheer decadence of the scenes. If male/male scenes bother you, this is not the book for you. I thought that the male/male scene was very well done. Ms Hawke brings a new twist to the vampire legend. Not only do her vampires feast on blood, but also on the talent of artists. The feistiness of the heroine was very refreshing and not forced. The antagonist was fabulously evil and you really loved to hate him. The dynamics of the final relationships were great and left you with satisfying closure. Thanks, Ms Hawke, very much for the fun and fast read!
