The Bounty

Tyler Calhoun is a bounty hunter - the best money can buy. His latest job is to bring in an elusive lady outlaw named Nicky Malloy. At first, he doesn’t understand why someone would pay top dollar for the best in the business just to find a young woman. When he still hasn’t found her three months later, he realizes this bounty won’t be as easy as he thought.

After her beloved brother was killed, Nicky was framed for murder. The handsome bounty hunter that finally caught her might make her heart skip, but she vows to never stop trying to escape.

On the trip from Oklahoma to Wyoming where Nicky is wanted, the pair must contend with both outside dangers and their attraction to one another. Eventually they lose the fight to control their passion and discover love in the bargain. But what will happen when they finally reach Wyoming? Will Tyler turn her in or give up the bounty for Nicky's love?

The Bounty is one terrific Western. It has it all - sexy, brooding hero, spunky heroine and sizzling sexual tension. I liked the fact that Nicky talks and acts like a woman who has been around rough men for years. She’s not some delicate creature simply disguising herself as a boy. Both Tyler and Nicky are fully fleshed out. The reader completely understands how and why they feel and act the way they do. Because of that, their transformation from captive/captor to lovers is very convincing. Ms. Williamson’s portrayal of trail life in the old West is so vivid that you can almost taste the dirt and grit. The colorful secondary characters add depth and authenticity as well.

I highly recommend this sensual romance from new author Beth Williamson! I hope she’s writing more right now!
