A woman is murdered and Detective Lorenzo Craigen believes he knows the identity of the killer, Sael. However, Lorenzo killed him already – maybe he isn’t really dead after all? Lorenzo visits Reya. Reya has been his lover and mate throughout the centuries and she was taken from him because of Sael. Now that Lorenzo has found her again, he doesn’t plan to let Sael near her.

The Revenge is a complex tale where jealousy and love is the primary focus. Lorenzo and Reya’s have a deep connection to each other but outside forces threaten their existence. Ms. Clark has written a suspenseful tale where the identity of the killer was a surprise to this reader. The story has an ambiguous ending and it looks like it could be the start to a new series.

Rain on the Mountain by Elaine Corvidae

Tricia Starnes and her partner are investigating a murder. She catches the eye of a man and the attraction is immediate. When she returns the next day, she sees a jaguar and follows it. She loses track of the cat but meets Pascal, the man she saw earlier.

Rain on the Mountain is an interesting and dark tale. Tricia and Pascal’s relationship heats up but this doesn’t read like a romance story.

Lynx to the Pharaoh by Shelley Munro

Charlotte Webster is exploring Egypt with her brother and his friend. She is a widow and enjoying the freedom that it has brought her. Their guide, Sethmet is a Guardian to the Pharaoh; it is his duty to protect the tombs at all cost. Charlotte finds herself attracted to Sethmet and the feelings are reciprocated.

Charlotte and Sethmet make an attractive couple. She is a strong woman who finds love with a mysterious and very sexy man. Lynx to the Pharaoh is a highly erotic and interesting tale set in ancient Egypt.

Animal Instinct by Michelle M. Pillow

Dr. Eve Matthew runs and takes care of the animals in the animal reserve. It is a job she loves and enjoys. Eve wants to have a night of no holds barred hot sex with a man. Midnight, a panther she found and healed knows of her desire. Midnight is also a shapeshifter named Viktor. Viktor meets Eve at a function and he makes her body tingle. Eve doesn’t pursue her desire, but Viktor plans to satisfy her fantasy.

Animal Instinct is a highly erotic and fun story. Eve is a genuinely nice person and Viktor is an extremely hot male. These two heat up everything around them as they make their fantasies come true.

Best Intentions by Mandy M. Roth

Lily’s marriage is over and she is looking for a fling. Bray falls instantly in love and in lust with Lily. Bray is a werecougar and Lily is not but that doesn’t mean he hasn’t found his mate. They make love but Lily disappears leaving him heart broken. Fast forward six years later, he finds her again – married and a mother of a daughter.

Best Intentions is a highly emotional and erotic tale. Ms. Roth is able to get across the deep feelings these two protagonists have for each other. Time doesn’t dull the emotions for them. This was the reader’s favorite of the five stories.

The heroes ooze sex appeal and the heroines are strong and vibrant. Filled with five interesting stories by some of New Concepts most popular writers, Ghost Cats will satisfy all who enjoy their shapeshifter erotica.
