Cassie’s Cowboy

Cassie Michaels has traveled to Arizona to look at the property her late Uncle Barney left her. While waiting for her rental car, Cassie is attracted to a gorgeous stranger she notices there. Cassie never expected that her gorgeous stranger would be Hawk Downs her uncle’s neighbor. Hawk is everything Cassie lusts for in a man. He is tall, gorgeous and packs all the right equipment. As the two plunge headlong into an affair, Cassie is dismayed when Hawk will not reveal all he knows about Barney and Barney’s property. How can Cassie fall in love with a man that is not completely honest with her?

Hawk Downs knew that his late friend Barney’s niece would be coming to see the property she inherited. He just never expected someone like Cassie. Hawk had fallen in lust before but not with such intensity. Cassie keeps asking questions about Barney that Hawk just does not want to answer. He is sure that the circumstances of Barney’s death will not get her closer to the uncle she had not seen in 10 years. Hawk also feels he must protect Cassie from the people trying to rush her into selling her new property.

Cassie’s Cowboy is a heartwarming story. Cassie and Hawk’s lust for one another leads them into a deeper relationship that will change them forever. Ms. Lowery has created two characters that will not be easily forgotten. The author’s use of dialogue and inter-conflict enhances the story. Cassie is afraid to trust Hawk but is not able to stop her growing feelings.
