Phobia

Dani has a secret phobia about dentists. Why is it a secret? Because Dani also has a live-in boyfriend who’s a pediatric dentist. Although incidents like choosing a random dentist’s name when Luke keeps bugging her about it is annoying, keeping the secret hasn’t been too difficult. That is until she cracks a molar. Luke insists she schedule an appointment before the crack becomes painful or infected. While continuously nagging her to schedule the appointment, he eventually discovers Dani’s dental phobia. He is understandably upset (how can she hate dentists when he is one?) and vows to help her overcome her phobia, by any means necessary.

What a great quickie (57 pages)! Nikki Soarde writes a wonderful story about human fears and foibles as well as hot, steamy sex. This story examines Dani’s fears while at the same time highlighting her trust in Luke. As a reader, you feel how truly frightened Dani is and just how much Luke loves her, as he tries to help her overcome this lifelong fear. How he helps her overcome it is the best part of the book! I know I’ll never be able to visit the dentist without thinking about Phobia.
