Passionate Destiny

Dr. Margaret Amis-Hollings was not prepared for the loss of her job. Unexpectedly, they told her that without having been published they could not hold her job as a professor for her any longer. Fate must have been working in Margaret's favor after all because it is then she finds out that her great-aunt, whom she has never met, has left her an antebellum house with one hundred and fifty-three acres in Virginia. After everything that has happened and her recent divorce from her ex-husband Jackson, Margaret decides to sublet her apartment in New Jersey and move down to oversee the renovations that will have to take place for her to sale the house.

Arriving in Palmyra, Margaret realizes life is not as it seems. Her first night at the house she experiences feelings she didn't know she could possibly feel. Not knowing how to explain what had happened, she immediately puts it off to being a dream. Thinking this vacation would be a walk in the park and a chance for her to write, Margaret was quite taken in by her meeting with contractor Aaron Belton. From the first moment they meet there is a definite attraction between the two. Although there are sparks among them, there are also a lot of differing personalities that seem to keep them apart.

Aaron Belton is not the only thing on Margaret's mind. The longer she is inside the house the more she feels she is not alone. There seems to be a ghost who is playing around with her. Can she possibly tell Aaron what is going on or will he think she is nuts? Aaron also has his own secrets to hide from Margaret. When she discovers who he is and his secret can she take a chance on love and open her heart to him?

Passionate Destiny is not a book to miss! Dee S. Knight has out done herself with an exceptional tale of mystery and love. The way Margaret's character is portrayed by Ms.Knight's writing skill is very well done. Margaret was not easily accepting of the supernatural. She questioned her sanity like most people would do when confronted with other worldly beings for the first time. The angst she felt made her a "real" person while reading this story. Aaron was also a very real man. His secrets could have been very detrimental to his relationship with Margaret, but he was determined to not let her get away.

Dee S. Knight also needs to be applauded her ability to have a wonderful ghostly mystery involved in this tale. After all why were the ghosts there? Their story needed an ending as well. If you read one book this summer, you will want it to be Passionate Destiny by Dee S. Knight. For her wonderful story telling abilities and her imagination, Passionate Destiny is well worth its 5 Angel Rating!
