In Kiss Of Heat, the third book in the Feline Breed Series, we are drawn into the story of Kane and Sherra. The two of them have a very sad and tragic past history together. Because of their past, Sherra is unable to reconcile the heat she feels for Kane with her hatred for him. She has struggled with the heat for years pushing away thoughts of her mate, Kane, and now they have come together again to protect the Pride.
Kane knows the truth about what happened in the past and what the heat means for Sherra and himself. He's determined to get past Sherra's guard and force her to accept that the two of them are mates. He'll have the fight of his life as he deals with keeping the Pride and his sister safe from the Purists Society and the Genetics Council.
Lora Leigh's "Kiss Of Heat" is a very realistic story. Although it is a work of fiction with elements of the paranormal, the author's use of how a person's past determines how they deal with the people they come into contact with in the present is extremely accurate. Sherra and Kane's pain and suffering, feelings of hurt, fear and anger play a large part in their learning how to live and love gain. Added to the plot of dealing with two vicious groups of people seeking to exterminate the breed and you have a wonderful fast paced story that you are unable to put down.
The sexual tension and passion between Sherra and Kane is nothing to scoff at. It's HOT! However, it's the fact that Sherra and Kane have to learn there is more to love than just sex that makes this a true love story.
Fans of the Feline Breed Series will want to read the third book, Kiss Of Heat as will those who like love stories, which are paranormal and erotic in nature.
