Water Crystal

An alien race sought to annihilate humans and take the Earth as their own. Poisoning the world’s water was an expedient method to eradicate resistance, but when that failed to kill all humans, forty years of war ensued. The world that is left is rife with turmoil, chaos, and a constant struggle to survive.

As Bianca watches the world around her die, she is convinced that there must be a way to reverse the damage to the water. She sets out on a mission to steal a crystal that might be Earth’s salvation. However, Aloysius Finch, the man who owns it, has no desire to save the world.

Angelo is captain of the guardians, an incorruptible man determined to make the world a better place. His duty is to recover the crystal and take Bianca to Finch, but the fantasy tale she spins has him questioning the world around him. He sees Bianca’s action as subversive to his cause, and yet this courageous woman appeals to him like no other. A fire burns between them, but as they stand on opposite sides of a battle, the future looks bleak. Can these two find the truth that lies hidden within the crystal’s depths, within their hearts? Or will they be forced to watch their world continue to die?

Water Crystal is a fast-paced, futuristic tale that had this reader frantically flipping pages. This is one story that never lets the action falter. Anya Bast immediately creates a compelling world with her imagery and descriptive style. It is easy to visualize the destruction and devastation that faces the human race. Ms. Bast has taken the world that we know and created her own unique environment filled with new technology, problems and people that is easily believable. However, the characters are what will really draw readers into this story. The author has crafted them in such a way that readers will feel their personal commitment and drive. From the sinister Finch and Dell to Bianca and Angelo, the characters keep this story moving. As the story builds, the passion that flares between Angelo and Bianca is the epitome of erotic romance. Their scenes blend outstanding sexual heat with a welling of emotion. Combine their developing relationship with the action that surrounds the crystal and this is one story that delivers from start to finish!
