Lasso That Cowboy is the sequel to Cowboy Lies.

Amber wakes up next to a dead man with a gun in her hand. What has she gotten herself in to? Amber has no idea and is on the run. She needs time to figure out who she is and what is going on. Amber answers his ad for a nanny; although he knows little about her, he is immediately drawn to her. He sees something in her, but is not really sure what that something is. Almost instantly he realizes Amber is in danger which means Alicia could be in danger. Can he help Amber remember what she needs to in time? Can he save her if it comes to that? Can he keep his desire for Amber under control?

Lynde Lakes has written a story that incorporates a blossoming romance entangled with dangerous turns along the way. Readers will be drawn to Amber’s frustrations in not knowing who she really is, as well as Luke’s broken heart. Luke is wonderfully displayed as a genuine, compassionate dad to Alicia and someone that Amber can love. Amber has the heart of lion; she just does not realize it at first. Alicia is a spitfire of a three year old that will have readers in love with her immediately. The author has done an incredible job of balancing the attraction between Luke and Amber into a well-written plot of suspense and danger. Can Amber solve the mystery of who she is and what happened to that man she woke up next to? Can Luke and Amber survive the danger their lives are in? Will Amber risk it all to save the ones she loves from the pain she brought up them? Will Luke love Amber as much as he loves Alicia?

This book offers a strong family structure and how it can overcome heartbreaking situations. The attraction that Lynde Lakes creates between Luke and Amber is a nice blend of admiration for each other and physical chemistry. Readers cannot go wrong with Lasso That Cowboy.
