The Seduction of Sarah

Sarah Wellsley can’t believe her bad fortune. She's been discovered while swimming in the nude by a very handsome and enchanting man, only to find that he's her cousin's intended. Even though Sarah is determined to ignore her attraction for Alex Caldern, fate seems to keep throwing them together in several unfortunate incidents.

Alex Caldern is back home to assume his role as Marquess of Caldern. His stepmother has arranged for him to meet Lady Caroline and a marriage proposal should soon follow. Alex cannot believe the disarray his home has fallen into in his absence. Although he knows he must marry Caroline, he still feels a strong attraction for the nubile nymph he saw swimming his first morning back. However someone is not happy to see Alex at home, and a series of “intentional accidents” throws him and Sarah together. Can Alex and Sarah find happiness between Alex’s impending marriage and the attempts on his life?

From the first page of The Seduction of Sarah, this reviewer was hooked. Author Cynthia Clement does an excellent job capturing our attention with the very first scene of Sarah’s infamous swim and the ever-handsome Alex's discovery of her. The attraction between these characters radiates off the pages; with each breath readers hope that somehow, hopefully, they will find a way to be together in the end. The sticky situation in all of this is that it seems several of the other characters obviously do not want this to happen, including an elusive and spoiled Lady Caroline. Ms. Clement gives readers several characters to love and several that you'll love to hate. For fans of Historical Regency romance, The Seduction of Sarah is a must-read!
