All Our Yesterdays: Peru
All Our Yesterdays: Peru is the final book of this fantastic series.
Once again, this story picks up right where the last book ended, this time finding Astrid preparing for her father’s homecoming. Fear of the curse and Duncan’s reluctance to commit to their love have caused Astrid to distance herself from him. Now the truth behind who has been causing trouble emerges, and Astrid finds herself in danger. Again, a treasure from the past sends Astrid back in time to a former incarnation. This time Astrid relives the life of Coyllur, an Incan sun priestess, but for the first time there is a difference. Coyllur is warned in advance that there is a curse upon her and the one she is destined to love throughout all time. She is also warned to be wary of enemies and is given the instructions needed to break the curse. When Pizzaro and his men arrive, Coyllur feels the pull of destiny towards the handsome Spaniard known as Guerro. But danger surrounds them from all sides; will knowing of the curse in advance be enough to finally change destiny? As for Astrid and Duncan, will the events of their past lives forever haunt them or will they find a way to be together?
I have read and reviewed all the previous stories in this wonderful series by author Janet Lane Walters, and found myself both looking forward to and dreading this episode. Do not misunderstand… I fell in love this series from book one, All Our Yesterdays: Egypt! I was dying to find out if there would be a happy ending for Astrid, a heroine I grew to admire throughout these tales, and Duncan, her sexy soul mate throughout time. I only dreaded the idea that it was about to come to end - that there would be no more wonderful trips to exotic locales in history… no more meeting superbly crafted characters along those journeys. My advice to readers, seek out the complete series of All Our Yesterdays tales now. Find a quiet corner with a cup of tea and lose yourself in the past over and over again. It is a trip you will be glad to have taken!
