My Fair Pixie
Sebastian Chateaufix is the epitome of aristocratic breeding. He’s had over 500 years as a vampire to hone his social skills and polish his snobbish demeanor. So how is it that a vampire with his above reproach pedigree finds himself married to a foul mouthed, brassy pixie? Poor taste in women, his mother would say, and an unfortunate meal from a man who chased Viagra with red wine. The drunken and needy vampire blunders his way into the Bachelor Number Three spot on a dating game show. Wonder of wonders, he is chosen by the spunky pixie.
Jessica Adkins is a free spirit, as are most pixies. What began as a dare has turned into the wildest ride of her life. Sebastian is the stuffiest personality she could’ve imagined...outside of the bedroom. You can’t base a marriage on the mind-blowing sex can you? Jessica intends to try.
Sebastian’s mother has decreed that his little pixie wife must be polished, presentable and able to pass for an aristocratic member of supernatural society. They have three months to accomplish this daunting task. While Sebastian “snobs” Jessica up, maybe she can bend the rod down his spine as well.
Ms. Winston has created a lovable and laughable couple in Sebastian and Jessica. In her contemporary world pixies are seen as the hillbillies of the supernatural world. Uncouth and wild, they are the coin opposite of the refined vampire community. Jessica is brash, outspoken and devil may care, whereas Sebastian practically color codes his sock drawer. They have a couple of things in common, their love for sex and their growing addiction for their simpatico bedroom antics.
My Fair Pixie had me laughing at every turn. Jessica’s uncanny ability to turn the simplest situations into social disasters and Sebastian’s reactions are priceless. Steamy and inventive love scenes are abundant as well. This “Macy’s” meets “Thrift Store” comedy is not one to miss. Kudos to Samantha Winston, My Fair Pixie will tweak your funny bone as well as other things.
