Agency of Extraordinary Mates: Sea God's Pleasure

People dream. They have fantasies. Sometimes these fantasies come true, but more often than not the fantasy is just that, "a fantasy"; having no basis in reality. However, for some people the fantasy does come true and Gloria VanSant is one of those.

Gloria VanSant runs the Hollowel Museum of Art. She loves Pre-Raphaelite paintings and has only just managed to convince the patrons to allow her to have a Pre-Raphaelite showing - penises and all; flaccid that is. Now the central piece, and her personal favorite fantasy: DeLande's The Sea God's Pleasure, has sprouted a large, fully erect phallus. Is she losing her mind? Convinced by her staff to take advantage of the all-expenses-paid week’s vacation on beautiful Chimera Island, that she had won, she sets out for what she hopes will be a relaxing vacation.

Quarian is the God of the Sea and Master of the Element Water. He also just happens to be Gloria's fantasy of The Sea God's Pleasure come to life, and her vacation sponsor. Quarian has been searching for the perfect female to be his eternal mate and he has settled on the fiery-tempered mortal female, Gloria. Now if he can just convince her to become his eternal mate.

Gloria isn't sure if she's crazy or if Quarian's crazy. She's suspicious of him and his motives. Quarian's having problems convincing Gloria that he really is the God of the Sea, and her mate. How will Gloria react when she realizes that her fantasy isn't really a fantasy anymore? What will it take to convince Gloria to spend eternity with Quarian?

Alice Gaines's Agency of Extraordinary Mates: Sea God's Pleasure was a pleasure to read. Both Gloria and Quarian’s reactions, personality traits and characteristics are realistic. I was drawn into the story and able to identify with both characters. Gloria's temperamental attitude is funny and endearing.

The plot is well-written and one that should appeal to many readers. After all, don't we all wish that our own fantasies would come true? If they ever did come true, though, would the fantasy meet our expectations or let us down? I don't know about my own, but I can dream can't I? How about you? Go ahead and pick up a copy of Alice Gaines's Agency of Extraordinary Mates: Sea God's Pleasure. See if you don't fall into the fantasy and develop your own desire to have your fantasies come to life.
