A Faerie’s Love

The Sheik and his retinue of servants live apart from other civilizations. The last of his kind, he has strange powers that make many fear him, but to those whom he loves, he promises healing, safety and security. The Sheik once even healed a dragon he found named Valario, but he has since lost touch with his scaly friend.

One day while riding, he comes across an abused slave girl named Chesza; she’s been whipped bloody and is unconscious. He takes her back to his home and cares for her, never imagining that his time with this faerie woman will send him into war or that he will come to care for her so much.

A Faerie’s Love by Kari Kincade is a light and airy piece, interspersed with many magical elements and a pinch of passion to round it all off. It was a joyful thing to watch the author bring The Sheik out from his protective shell to become a man of passion. Chesza is a rare gem as well, and the fantasy elements of this story make for a fairy tale kind of read. If you’re looking for a mystical and unforgettable short story with a paranormal punch, you’ll adore A Faerie’s Love by Kari Kincade.
