Triple Play delivers the goods in a big way! Ryhannon Byrd pens a scorcher of a piece here, and shows that sometimes birthday wishes really do come true. She expertly pits Denny’s sweetness and love for Gabriel against the walls he’s built up after an intense personal trauma. Gabriel is an Alpha male, of that there is no doubt, but he is so emotionally wounded and desperately needy that you can’t help but adore him even as you want to kick him in the head for his stubbornness. And the sex! Talk about explicit! Every nerve in my body nearly stood up and saluted at some of this trio’s antics, and let me tell you, Ms. Byrd can write a love scene so descriptive you’ll all but feel the sexual tension thickening the air.
