A Wanton’s Thief

Falcon Montague, AKA Robin Hood, has just overheard the order to kill Lady Salena Tremayne. He has seen the lovely lady twice before and been stricken by her beauty and poise. He cannot allow her to be murdered. So, as any good thief will, he kidnaps her to save her life. Needless to say, Lady Salena is not pleased and thinks that he is the one trying to kill her. Falcon is finding it harder and harder to restrain himself. Being able to read Lady Salena’s mind isn’t making it any easier.

Salena cannot believe that Falcon has taken her from her home for her own safety and not for his personal gain. When she finds out that he’s the notorious brigand, she’s doubly sure that he has ulterior motives. Having tasted passion once, she is absolutely astounded by the feelings that Falcon is bringing out in her. Can she deal with the fact that he’s more than a man and not the villain she thought he was? Can he deal with a mortal relationship?

This is such a great story that is so well thought out! Ms. Ladley does a phenomenal job of combining the various Robin Hood legends into a seamless love story. As always, Ms. Ladley creates a cast of characters that come to life in a rich world. A Wanton’s Thief is a delightful read with a strong man and a strong woman butting heads until they get what they need, not necessarily what they want. Again, this was a great read and I highly recommend it to all.
