Bonds of Justice 2: Rapture

Zara was an unwilling slave in the bonds of the drug Rapture. She was being trained for servitude when Kyros, the creator of the drug, boarded the ship and destroyed the supply of Rapture aboard. Taking pity on her, he gave her what she needed before taking her aboard his ship. Kyros tried to put the lovely slave out of his mind, but she would not let him. Zara did not want to go back to her domineering brothers and demanded to be given a job aboard Kyros’ ship. After proving herself at the weapons station, Kyros agreed that she would be the last of the slaves reinstated to their homeworlds. What follows is a wonderful romp through space.

Elayne Venton does a wonderful job of creating a story in 88 short pages. Both Kyros and Zara are wonderful characters that leap off the pages and grab you. You want to know everything about then and Ms. Venton does a great job of letting you see just enough of their lives to want more. Bounds of Justice 2: Rapture is a continuation of a series, but does not need to be read in order. You can find the rest of the series at Changeling Press.
