Ellora’s Cavemen: Legendary Tails III is a compilation of one exciting story after another. I was able to jump from vampires to contemporary, to alternate Earths with a turn of the page. Once again Ellora’s Cave is able to show off the talents of their awesome authors, and this shapes up to be yet another fabulous anthology!

The Last Bite by Melani Blazer

Elliott and Laura are part of an elite force operating outside the realm of the ordinary. They are part of the clean up crew that is sent out when vampires or werewolves go bad. Six years ago, Laura took off with Elliott’s bounty and never looked back. Now she’s returned and has told him that she is there to kill him. After a lengthy ‘interrogation’, secrets are revealed that will change both of their lives.

Melani Blazerstarts this anthology off with a bang! This is a great story that explores the shades of gray that vampires could live in - neither good nor evil, and everything depends on your choices. I enjoyed the characters in The Last Bite and continue to look forward to reading more by Ms. Blazer.

There's nothing like a great kidnapping plot to give you a fun story. Ms. Soarde does a fantastic job of mapping out the different ways that Kaley and her friends torture Ray. Hard Lessons is an erotic romp that makes you cheer on Kaley and her friends.

Close Encounters of the Carnal Kind by Delilah Devlin

Etienne has just returned from active duty; he's trying to deal with the loss of his friends and losing the full use of his leg. When he finds out that his uncle Jacques has told the papers that he was abducted by aliens, he can’t believe that Jacques is insane, but who else but crazy people are ‘abducted’? Armand, Etienne’s brother, informs him that Jacques told him that the aliens are after him next.

When Mariska shows up and asks for his sperm, who is he to say no?

Delilah Devlinscores again! Usually it’s the woman who is the long-lost alien, but in Close Encounters of the Carnal Kind Etienne is the lost heir. This is a delightful switch that is a great read. Once again, Ms. Devlin writes a story with heart and in just a few pages creates a wonderful world and people.

Tight Places by Arianna Hart

Carrick and Savannah have been admiring each other from afar. When a storm on the full moon cages them in the elevator, they follow their instincts and have an amazing time. But Carrick is hiding a secret that could lose him his company and his life - can he trust Savannah with it? Does he have a choice?

Tight Places is great! I love the idea of secrets in an elevator, especially the secrets in this story. It always seems easier to reveal things in the dark. Savannah and Carrick make a great couple and it is amazing to see characters ‘mesh’ so quickly.

Pleasure Port 27 by Kate Douglas

Mira is a pleasure bot assigned to Pleasure Port 27. Her job is to be there for the pilots that come through the port in every way they need.

Evan is a man living through the lives of others. When he realizes that the woman in the apartment across the way is a prostitute he cannot stop himself from watching.

When Mira realizes she’s being watched, she is reminded that discovery is not an option and that the watcher must be destroyed.

Kate Douglas takes the fantasy of being the viewer and the viewed and makes it a great and original story. How amazing to take something ‘dirty’ and make it wonderful. Evan is a tragic hero and that really makes this story fabulous.

License to Thrill by Sahara Kelly

Jane is having a terrible day; her skirt pops a button, she tears her stockings, and when she voices her displeasure in a colorful way, who should catch her but her boss. As the only person in the office not out with the flu, Jane is pressed into service as the control for an agent out in the field. She’s drawn into the life of Edvarde Przybyl, agent extraordinaire.

This is one of the most unique stories I have ever read. Sahara Kelly takes one of history’s mysteries and creates a wonderful character in Edvarde. Jane is a delightfully sassy heroine who isn’t afraid of tweaking Eddie if he needs it. All in all, this was a fabulous story and an extremely intriguing use of facts and fables.
