Into A Dangerous Mind

Working as a cellist with the Phoenix Symphony and at the ripe old age of twenty nine, Cassidy James’ love life has not been the best. However, it takes a turn for the worst when she starts dating a crazed murderer named the Reaper. On their second date he tries to overpower her and she incapacitates him and flees into the night. Stumbling home she is saved by a stranger named Zachary, who helps her home and takes care of her while she recovers from her brush with the killer. While Cassidy’s abilities make her his next target, Cassidy must deal with the unfamiliar and astounding psychic powers she has.

Zachary Hatcher, an undercover FBI agent that specializes in unusual cases, has been asked by his best friend to help catch a murderer that has been killing woman in a way that baffles the Law Enforcement community. The women killed show no internal or external injuries and yet they are dead. Due to Zach’s experience with the paranormal he’s figured out how the killer is murdering his victims and he believes he knows why they are being chosen. When Zach stakes out the killer’s next target he inadvertently stumbles onto Cassidy James, when he rescues her after her encounter with the Reaper. That initial meeting is all it takes for Zach to realize maybe he has bitten off more that he can chew. Unwilling to leave her vulnerable, Zach teaches Cassidy how to use her psychic powers and deal with having them. However his biggest foes are his fear of getting hurt and reliving his tragic past; yet he needs to stay close to Cassidy and catch the Reaper in the process.

When they meet the sparks fly and their sizzling heat is felt throughout the story. Each page brings them closer to each other and closer to the Reaper. As Zach’s feelings for Cassidy grow, his emotions run the gamut and he must choose whether to take a chance on Cassidy and love or remain trapped in his past. Cassidy’s fear of rejection initially intimidates her, but her best friend makes her realize she should be willing to take a chance on love. When she throws caution to the winds and reaches out to grasp her chance will Zach’s fears keep them from finding their happily ever after?

The emotion, the drama, the suspense, the hot torrid love making are all part and parcel of this amazing story. I really enjoyed how Ms. Gerow puts you in the moment of action and how you feel every emotion these characters experience. She peppers the story with funny anecdotes that catch you unaware and make you smile or laugh out loud as you read. Ms. Gerow weaves modern day dramatic suspense along with strong paranormal elements like a pro, throughout this story. The love making between these great characters heats up the pages and the magnetism in between makes you keep turning the pages. This new author’s voice is a true pleasure to read and experience. She is now on my radar to pick up. Thank you, Ms. Gerow for Into a Dangerous Mind, a truly remarkable story.
