Abducted

Vicki Potter and Frank Latimear are getting married. Frank has landed an excellent job at a casino in Vegas, and wants nothing more than to get married and start a new life with his bride. One of the wedding guests has other plans; they want Frank’s identity.

A year has past since Lynne Garrett’s last visit to Virginia City, (Check out A Virginia City Mystery for details on that trip.) and there could not be a nicer reason to return than to help her friend Vicki plan her wedding. Less than twenty-four hours after Lynne’s arrival, Frank is kidnapped and forced to send Vicki a letter, saying he has changed his mind and is calling off the wedding. Can Lynne find Frank and get him to the church in time for the wedding?

Mary Jean Kelso has once again managed to give us a mystery that is truly appropriate for readers of all ages. I loved the fact that there was plenty of suspense but nothing that would cause nightmares in a young reader. It is really nice to see how much Lynne has grown since her last story. She has accepted her handicap and learned live life to the fullest; she is truly a role model for all young women out there.
