Blessed Doom – Alyssa Brooks
Belle is surprised to learn that she has inherited a southern plantation. Believing that she had no family, Belle hopes to find some connection to her family at the plantation. Belle suffers from a head injury after wrecking her car, so she is not sure about what is occurring on the plantation. Her new home appears to be haunted and nothing electric will work anywhere on the property. The caretaker, Noah, seems to have some unearthly hold on her. Belle finds herself falling under his spell but knows she has to figure out if it is real or just her imagination.

Alyssa Brooks’ Blessed Doom is an interesting story of a woman who finds the love that she has been looking for. The main characters life experiences allow each to know that they have found something special but are unsure what affect the real world will have on their relationship. The author has created a fascinating story that will have you wanting more.

Sweet Patience – Melissa Schroeder
Patience Sawyer likes her organized life and is anticipating good things about the bed and breakfast she is opening with her friend, Chance Sawyer. Chance mocks Patience for making lists and likes to take life as it comes. For all their differences the two complement one another. Something has changed since they have been living together – the attraction that has always been under the surface takes on a life of its own. Chance and Patience are no longer able to deny their feelings and will have to decide if friends and business partners can also be lovers?

Sweet Patience is romance at its best. Chance and Patience are an exceptional couple that shoot sparks off of one another from the very beginning. The physical connection is there is balanced by the deep emotional connection that neither wants to lose if the relationship were not to work out. Ms. Schroeder displays that sometimes friends make the best lovers. While both Chance and Patience have tried to deny their growing feelings, love wins out in the end.

Cancer is another winner in The Zodiac Series. Ms. Brooks and Ms. Schroeder each display how love affects the Cancer and what they will do to achieve happiness.
