Pack City - Book 2: Wanton Werewolf Series

Being a bitch in Pack City can be very difficult sometimes, especially if you’re a pure-blooded breeder wolf about to shapeshift for the first time. Fera was born a wolf and has always known that she would shift when her body was ready. When her time draws near, she realizes that she’s always wanted more. So when a renegade “unnatural” werewolf stalks her, she throws caution to the winds and leaves Pack City with him. Their mating is all she’s dreamed of and more, but can she survive a betrayal from the one person she’s given up everything for?

This intriguing story of werewolves and their pack will definitely leave you wanting more. Even as the second in a series, this book stands on its own. In fact, the first book is described through Fera’s point of view, while at the same time integrating her story. Fera’s view of the hierarchy of Pack City is clever and sometimes confusing, but certainly entertaining. She gives a first “wolf” accounting of her feelings about the eventual change, sex, the alpha and his mate, her brother and just about everything else. When she and Jack finally hook up, she realizes that maybe the plan her brother has for her is not what she needs. Jack is sexy, smart, and absolutely forbidden. He also shows Fera that most of the things she’s known all her life may not be what they seem. Fera learns to look deep within herself and examine her beliefs as well as how she views others and discovers something she never knew she needed. I found the descriptions of the wolves, their behaviors, and the shifting very descriptive as well as out of the ordinary. I enjoyed Fera and Jack and this journey to Pack City and look forward to the next trip back.
