A Soft Place To Fall

Nic D’Onofrio is supposed to be on vacation in Tahoe, no heroics, no involvement. Yet when he passes a stalled vehicle he can’t keep driving. He gives in to what his friends and fellow parajumpers deem his “Batman” persona and stops. What he finds is a beautiful, desirable woman who can’t remember who she is and how she arrived at the side of the road in her pajamas. This is a tender romance that proves love can happen at the most unlikely time. Ms. Daniels shows an innate ability to create compelling characters that are true to life. The development of Julie and Nic’s relationship is well presented and allows readers to believe the emotions portrayed. Their scenes depict integrity, passion, and friendship in a fresh, convincing manner. The additional characters within the book provide humor, levity, and display the unique camaraderie that exists between men that put their lives in each other’s hands every day. The underlying mystery behind Julie is interesting enough to keep readers wondering, while at the same time allowing the romance between Nic and Julie to take center stage. A Soft Place To Fall is the first in what promises to be a wonderful series. Jaxine Daniels has assembled a group of men that readers will be anxious to see get their own stories.
