The Wolf Tamer

Teon has been hunting werewolves for ten years, ever since one killed his father under the Nu Moon. He has vowed revenge against the evil creatures and he is determined to destroy them. Though he has killed many of the beasts, he still has not found the one he has been searching for. After searching unsuccessfully for so long without encountering the demon wolf that killed his father, Teon is becoming discouraged. He returns to his childhood home to decide what to do with the rest of his life.

Kari has been searching for Teon. She desperately needs his help. He is the only one who can kill Nash - the werewolf that killed Teon’s father and Kari’s family. She longs to be free from Nash, but, as long as he lives, she is tied to him. The only person that can and set her free is Teon.

Teon is reluctant to become involved. He is tired of hunting and wants to think only of a wife and family, yet he can’t ignore Kari’s distressed pleas for his help. If he helps Kari, will he ever get the life that he wants?

Ms. Ash has created a short story that is easy to follow and read. Her characters are well developed and the plot is clear-cut without being overly predictable, as often occurs with stories of this length. Events flow seamlessly along, leading you exactly where Kari and Teon want you to go. The action is simple, yet effective. The descriptions are very believable and fit very nicely with the story line.

This is a story that sucks you in from the first page and doesn’t let you go. Don’t be surprised if you find yourself refusing to put this down until you’re at the end! Kudos to Ms. Ash on a wonderful tale.
