Veronica (Ronni) Lichty has known plenty of heartache. She lost the love of her life to a horrible car accident. Her secret passionate affair with the town’s troublemaker produced a love-child, which in turn cost her the love and respect of her family. Forced to desert home and child, Ronni moves to the city in search of her dream to become a singer. Vowing to never return to her home town, Ronni was compelled to return and confront her past life. Ronni soon discovers that everything is not as innocent as it appears to be. Evilness is sneakily ravaging havoc all over town and it is determined to remain hidden and powerful…even kill if necessary.

Mortal Wounds is a story of a young woman who lost everything; her lover, her child, her family and her home all because she went against the norm in her town and followed her heart. Tragedy has caused Ronni to harden her heart against her deep rooted morals and faith. Music and singing has been Ronni’s saving grace for many years. That was until a handsome man comes along with her daughter and forces her to face her begotten past and demons. Mortal Wounds is a great read that I think all will enjoy. Slightly long at times on detail; nevertheless, for a reader who thrives on deep description, this is a great suspenseful tale to lose yourself in.
