Urban Shaman

In C.E Murphy’s Urban Shaman, Joanne Walker notices an anonymous woman fleeing a pack of hounds, amid the suburban streets of Seattle, as her red-eye flight lands.

Joanne is a mechanic by trade; however, she is a cop according to Seattle police paperwork. She merely wants to repair cars; nevertheless, she is promoted to Officer upon her arrival from Ireland. Unexpectedly her life is altered by her promotion and a previously unknown Shaman talent. Now she has three days to prevent a vengeful demi-god and his father from terrorizing the world for eternity

Gary, a cheerful older cabbie, unites with Joanne as they search for the woman she saw. Together they infiltrate the seedier side of Seattle where they find an unusual anthropologist and a Celtic god with a mission. Gary goes from skeptical to believing when he watches Joanne battle the Lord of the Hunt and survive. The week has only started and it has been hell.

Urban Shaman is a gritty paranormal fantasy set in suburban Seattle. It has the great elements of fantasy mixed within the modern world. C.E. Murphy deftly reveals the struggle to believe what one has always denied when reality is stripped bare. Urban Shaman gripped me from the first moment until the spectacular culmination in another realm. I eagerly await C.E Murphy’s further tales of Joanne Walker.
