The Jewel and the Sword
Devlin Barnett has been captured during a retaliation attack on his foster brother's clan. He awakens to find himself tied to a bed, with his wounds are being tended by the daughter of his nemesis, the Laird of the keep where he is now being held prisoner. As if that isn't bad enough, he finds that he can't fight the sexual attraction he is feeling for his beautiful captor.
Meghan Douglas' father is being held prisoner by the Earl of Ravenstone so when she finds a wounded Ravenstone warrior among her father's fallen men, she nurses him back to health with the intention of making a trade. The warrior refuses to give her his name and therefore he is an unknown enemy, but she finds herself strangely attracted to this man.
Devlin manages to escape the tender mercies of Meghan. He is given his freedom with the condition he bring Meghan to safety from the man trying to take over her father's keep and force her to become his bride. Devlin and Meghan find themselves on the run back toward his home and her father. What will happen when Meghan finds that the man she has fallen in love with is her father's most hated enemy and foster brother?
