The Devil Inside

When a stranger approaches Gina Devlin as she sits in a coffee shop, her heart starts beating overtime. Though the man is dressed very properly, there is a glimmer of heat and defiance in his eyes. When he introduces himself as Caleb Mann and calls her Christina, Gina knows there has been a mistake, but a little devil prompts her to go along with him anyway. Their date consists of a trip to a gay bar where they play pool and then back to Caleb’s place for some seriously sensual sex, the kind Caleb never imagined participating in. His ex-girlfriend recently dumped him because of his unimaginative ways in the bedroom and Caleb wants a chance to prove to himself that he isn’t as boring as his ex believes him to be. When he’s with Gina, their lovemaking is anything but boring.

Gina freaks out however when she realizes that the man from her dreams, the dreams she has been having for a long time, is really Caleb! When Caleb wakes up alone, he’s not sure if he should go after “Christina,” but when his brother comes into his home demanding to know why he stood up Christina, Caleb knows he needs some answers. Confronting Gina proves to be as much fun as their initial date and before he quite realizes what’s happened, Caleb finds himself heavily involved with Gina, a woman who is anything but the prim and proper women he is used to. However, when she explains her psychic abilities to him, he starts to freak? Can Caleb get past his disbelief in order to make his new relationship work? Gina hopes so, but in order to find out, you’ll just have to read The Devil Inside.

Cute and romantic are two words that really sum up this story. It is truly filled with fun as Gina and Caleb explore all the possibilities between them, not only sexually, but also emotionally. The reader will really feel their instantaneous connection and will be thrilled at how strong the connection remains throughout the rest of the story. In many ways, Caleb isn’t the typical alpha male hero of romantica books. He’s unsure of his sexuality after being dumped, but instead of making him seem whiny or pitiful, he is endearing because he wants to learn, wants to experience more than he ever has before. His openness to any possibility makes him a sweet hero and definitely ratchets up his alpha male quotient. Gina is the perfect counterpart for him and their relationship is very strong and vital, from the moment they meet. Once again, Ms. White aptly creates a winning duo with a lasting love connection.
