Ancient Ties

Janney Forrester is trying to forget the breakup of her marriage by vacationing in England. One minute she is touring the ancient ruins of Bath, the next she is looking at a gorgeous hunk in a roman soldier outfit. Looking down at the mortal world, the Goddess Venus decides Marek needs to find love again. As the God of War, Mars doesn’t like the idea at all. He knows that if that happens, Marek will never be the soldier he once was. Venus is persuasive, though, and as a result, Janney finds herself face to face with Marek.

Ancient Ties is not the usual cookie-cutter time travel romance. It’s an intense story of two people reluctant to open their hearts after being deeply hurt. Marek has avoided dealing with his grief and feelings of guilt for years. Janney’s ex-husband didn’t just leave, he completely destroyed her self-confidence.

Ms. Quinn delves into the psyche of her protagonists and really lets the reader experience how the powerful physical attraction Marek and Janney experience from the beginning gradually develops into a deep, emotional connection.

Ancient Ties is one of the best time travel romances I have read in a long while. I absolutely loved it! Ms. Quinn’s graceful style of writing is a perfect compliment to the erotic elements of the storyline. I also appreciated the unusual setting of the Roman occupation of ancient Britain.

I highly recommend this touching, emotional and incredibly erotic love story.
