The Chieftain's Bride

Marion’s husband, Raynor, has passed away. The King has decreed that she and all of her husband’s lands will go to Wyborn the Indomitable, his cousin. Wyborn’s reputation proceeds him and Marion wonders how this warrior will be as a husband. They start their relationship on shaky grounds but whether it will move into a more loving union is up to them.

Marion is a woman who yearns for peace. Her first marriage was not a love match but she was content with it. Wyborn brings forth new feelings in her and not all of them are welcomed. Wyborn is a warrior and an Alpha male to the max. He is intelligent, ruthless and a battle hardened man. Wyborn is determined to make his place in Ravenhill. The devotion that he gives to the people and the village impresses Marion. Marion and Wyborn have a tenuous relationship in the beginning but the reader sees how it blossoms as they both work toward the same goals. They are both committed to their duties and are extremely loyal to their people. The author infuses her story with two very enjoyable and remarkable characters. The reader wants them to succeed as we come to know them very well.

The Chieftain’s Bride is a well written historical romance. The characters are fully developed and realized. There are many secondary characters within the story and they all add to the fabric of the story. There is plenty of action which includes fighting and battles. All of this serves to bring the reader into the story. The Chieftain’s Bride is a complex historical romance that will charm the reader.
