The Rogue
Lady Jane Pennington is not enjoying her Season. She is an heiress and a proper young lady who has an uncle suspected of being a traitor. Ethan has been drafted into the Liar’s Club and into doing his duty spying for the crown. His newest assignment is Jane’s uncle and he must do whatever he can to protect Jane in his search for the traitor.
Jane is an independent female who knows her mind and does things most debutantes would not even consider, like climbing trees. She is intelligent and loyal thus making Ethan’s job even more difficult. Ethan is a product of his past. He is tough and well versed in the art of gambling. He is also a gentleman at heart even with his reputation. Jane is well aware of Ethan, as the man makes her body sing. Ethan seduces her with his words and body. These two are strong leads with very strong personalities. Jane is not a wimp or a pushover and Ethan is just alpha enough to handle her. The sensuality factor is set on high as these two explore their physical desires with words as well as with their bodies.
The Rogue is the fifth book in the Liar’s Club series. It continues the series in fine form as we are introduced to new characters as well as reintroduced to past ones. The storyline is quite complex and the author does a good job of weaving it all together. Ultimately it was the characters that pulled this reader into the story. They are extremely likable as a couple and as individuals. The Rogue will delight the readers of this series.
