Music Man
Ian Swift, now a famous hunky jazz pianist, had met Jade some time back, during a time when he was a geeky, nerdy, untried youth. However, even though seven years have passed, he has never forgotten her, because she took him to manhood in a glorious and unforgettable way. Unfortunately for him, no other woman has ever really lived up to that memory. This brings him full circle, back to Jade, to see if this feeling is something that can grow into more.
Jade Thiele, an older woman who has an immense love of jazz is surprised by an unexpected visit from a blind date that she stood up. When she meets him, she realizes who he is and fails to remember him as the geeky musician that she could never really forget seven years ago. Torn by her feelings for this young man, Jade questions her life and what is important to her. Her biggest worry is the difference in their ages and whether or not she can take that leap of faith. Or will she continue on the route she is traveling and end up an old maid?
The interaction between the two characters is spectacular. The drama, the steaming love scenes, the angst, and did I say the panting love scenes already? Ms. Blaise has created a story that flames from page to page to page. Pairing it with the drama and emotion that you can feel with every word read, it makes for a very worth-while read; short, but nonetheless powerful enough that you feel immense satisfaction at the end. A truly spectacular read, the only complaint I had was how short it was!
