Joy Polanski works in the family business. Her family’s funeral home keeps Joy pretty busy. But it is good work and great hours for the beautiful vampire. Joy is a five-hundred-year-old vampire that has yet to find her lifemate. Detective Larkin McBride is looking into the reported suicide of a close friend who happens to be at the Polanski Brothers funeral home. For some strange reason, Larkin can read Joy’s thoughts. Joy is very attracted to Larkin, but does not believe the gorgeous detective could handle being with a vampire.

Ms. Cassidy has a wonderful sense of humor that comes out at the most unexpected times. While sexually in tune from the beginning, the couple forms a deep emotional bond. Joy and Larkin are a great couple fighting the inevitable – love. This exceptional book will charm you and leave you wanting more.
