Tempest

Kore has made many sacrifices for his clan. The Keht are a group of Hunters and Miners who have spent much time fighting amongst themselves. Kore married a woman that he does not love and that does not love him in order to form an uneasy peace between the warring factions. When his wife unexpectedly dies, Kore worries what will happen to his clan because it is believed that he had something to do with her death. When the beautiful Amilaw approaches him with a deal to protect the people she has spent most of her life living with, Kore will finally get the chance to overcome his desire for her. Once they are together, Kore does not want to let her go.

Amilaw is willing do whatever it takes to protect the Sald, people who have protected her since she became stranded on their planet. Seducing Kore is her goal. Amilaw has heard the rumors about his wife’s death, but as she comes to know the Keht leader she finds them hard to believe. As Kore takes control of her body, Amilaw comes to see that he is the man for her despite their differences. When Kore reveals something about her past, Amilaw wonders what the future holds them.
