Tortoise Tango

After the hurricane hit, Amber lost just about everything-her car is damaged and her home is destroyed. The very attractive sheriff that she keeps running into seems to find her troubles funny. When Sheriff Joe Lott invites her to stay in his guest house Amber reluctantly agrees. She does not want to be attracted to Joe, since she is just passing through but there is something about him. After witnessing a crime Amber and Joe are forced to spend even more time together. The more she is with Joe, the more Amber fears she will not want to say goodbye.

Sheriff Josiah Lott thought the redhead was cute from the minute he saw her. Stranded by a multi-car accident, Joe pulls her pet tortoise from the car. Amber is a woman Joe wants and intends to know better. Inviting her to stay in his guest house seems a perfect way to accomplish this goal. Needing her as a witness, Joe convinces Amber to stay in town longer. When the two give in to passion, Joe knows that he does not want to let Amber go.

Mary Wine’s Tortoise Tango is laugh out loud fun! From their first meeting, Joe and Amber shoot sparks off of one another. The physical connection that links Amber and Joe helps them to form a very deep and binding emotional bond. The author has a wonderful sense of humor that comes out with each new adventure Joe and Amber share. Do not miss this book!
