Watch out, here comes big sister to the rescue!

Since her mother and father are dysfunctional, Sydney Spinelli has always protected her younger sister. On the first plane smoking, Sydney travels from Jersey to Texas to save her younger sister Julia from making a grave mistake. Julia Spinelli has fallen head over heels for Roman Sonntag, even though they have known each other for only a month.

When Sydney arrives to the family hotel that Julia is managing, she is convinced that Julia is making a mistake by getting engaged to Roman. At all cost she is going to stop this farce from going ahead. Jumping in with both feet, Sydney insults the most gorgeous, sexually stimulating man she has even seen, who she believes to be her sister’s fiancé Roman. Only the man is not Roman, but instead his best friend Alex. Not only has she insulted him, but she also feels a stirring of desire for him. Will they act on their feelings of lust? Will Sydney who Alex calls “Jersey” be able to put her mistrust and ill will of Roman behind?

Be sure to read First Date to find out. First Date by Karen Kendall is well worth taking the time to read. Not only is it well written, grabbing your attention, keeping you going page after page until you realize you read the whole book in one setting. I enjoyed reading the book and once I started I did not put it down until it was over. Riveted from the first page, I kept reading and reading, laughing at some of the misadventures that Sydney gets into, sympathizing with her in others and feeling her lust for Alex grow. The things she did are what we all might do to protect one of our siblings from someone we do not trust. Through it all Sydney feels Julia is making a mistake by getting engaged and marrying a guy she has know for less than 2 months.

The trials and tribulations that Alex and Sydney go through, as well as the lust they feel for each other, make you cheer, hoping against all odds that they get together.

First Date is definitely a keeper and a must have book to read. First Date is Karen Kendall’s first book in The Bridesmaid Chronicles and I for one have decided I will be reading the others that go with First Date. The way it is written captured me from start to finish making me realize what a great book this is and that I am going shopping to find more books by Karen Kendall!
