The God's Wife
Walk like an Egyptian? No, read about the Egyptians in this glorious tale of lust, deceit, love, and betrayal. Star-crossed lovers watch out!
Senmut has loved Hati’s since they were children, but now they are both adults. Not only does he give his friendship and love, but he is also full of lust for her. Lust so deep that he cannot think or even eat as the desire he feels for her takes precedence over everything else; however, Hati is trained to be the God’s Wife. The Pharaoh decides that Hati is the woman he will take as his wife. Hati sees Mo as a man (not as the Pharaoh), and treats him accordingly; while Mo realizes that while Hati loves him, part of her also loves Senmut.
Mo, in order to ensure Hati and her unborn child’s safety, must pretend that she is not his favorite. Therefore he also has a mistress, but while visiting her he starts turning blue and dies. With his death, Athmose, Mo’s brother and a very jealous, power-hungry man, thinks he should rule. He is an evil man full of hate for all woman especially Hati. Hati must become Pharaoh to prevent Athmose from attempting to become a ruler who would destroy Egypt.
Now the fun begins; murder, torture, mayhem, lust, love, deceit, justice and truth all reign in The God’s Wife. As I read The God’s Wife it made realize that it is a book I would be happy to recommend to anyone that is looking for an excellent book. This is a definite must read book. Not only is it exceptionally written, but it also captures you, letting you feel the vividly portrayed emotions. If there was one thing I would say, it would be that the author should be complimented for putting it all together and making The God’s Wife a book that is and will always be a must read. This is close to one of the best books I have ever read.
