Jokers Wild: Three Nights

Chris’ secretary took maternity leave, but in the interim, decided not to return to work. In the meantime Chris hired Eliza as a temp. Eliza is a great secretary but she makes Chris’ blood boil in an unexpected way. When Chris finds out that Eliza has a child, it makes her off limits. After his childhood, Chris swore that he would never be involved with a woman with children nor have any of his own. However, Eliza is invited to a poker game where she and Chris make a bet; Chris gets a one night stand if he wins and if Eliza wins she gets three of her deepest fantasies fulfilled.

With Jokers Wild: Three Nights, Lena Matthews has written a great book that stands extremely well all on its own, but is even better if you read the first in the series. She has again captured a wonderful sense of a couple falling in love. Chris fights falling in love with Eliza and her daughter every step of the way. The sex scenes are flaming hot, and watching Chris fall victim to the young girl’s charms is both realistic and charming. I was delighted to read Chris and Eliza’s story, now maybe it is Chris’s sister Octavia’s turn?
